History of Stanislaus Implement & Hardware

Stanislaus Implement & Hardware began as Farmers Exchange in 1912, started by two brothers, Henry and Charles Zimmerman.  The company was incorporated in 1919 and has been serving homeowners, farmers and the industry ever since.  

Stanislaus Implement & Hardware is always striving to be the one-stop farm center for all of Stanislaus and surrounding counties. And while we have been selling leading lines of farm tractors and equipment since day one, we have more recently expanded into the utility vehicle, ATV and companion equipment for the recreational user.  

Stanislaus Implement & Hardware has a long standing relationship with the city of Modesto, California. The business was originally located on 7th Street in Modesto, and then moved to 8th & I streets, where it stood until 1926. That year, the Zimmerman’s relocated the company to its current location on 10^thand F Streets. Over the years, we have added to our current building, facilities and warehouses.
